Our Services

Seycove Dental offers a wide variety of dental services to our clients, including:

General & Preventative Dentistry (click to open)

Modern dentistry focuses on prevention rather than waiting for problems to arise. Regular check-ups & cleanings detect any issues before they become a major concern. Additional resources such as sealants, fluoride treatments, TMJ assessment, oral cancer screening, and patient-education ensure your optimal oral health.

Hygiene / Cleaning (click to open)

Regular cleaning appointments help maintain healthy gum and supporting bone levels while settling inflammation and recession. To safely remove plaque/tartar, your hygienist will use hand-instruments as well as an ultrasonic machine which gently lifts debris via sound waves & water irrigation. Our office will design an in-office and at-home hygiene protocol to best meet your needs.

Invisalign Orthodontics (click to open)

The clear alternative to conventional braces. Transform your smile with a series of clear aligners. Virtually invisible and easy to remove for normal brushing/flossing (unlike bonded metal braces).

STA (Single Tooth Anaesthetic) Injection System (click to open)

A computerized anesthetic delivery system. Virtually eliminates the pinch and prolonged post-op numbness/discomfort as with conventional freezing techniques.

Underarmour Performance Sportsguard (click to open)

Authorized provider of the best sportsguard on the market. Provide protection for your teeth & jaw while actually boosting your athletic performance! More info at:  www.underarmour.com. We also offer Proform custom sportsguards for less-serious athletes.

Fully-digital Operatories (click to open)

Each room is equipped with an intra-oral camera and digital x-ray machine. This allows 90% less radiation exposure while providing better diagnosis, visualization, and demonstration. Additionally, we have flatscreen TVs for entertainment and display of x-rays & intraoral photos. This provides better patient education/explanation & treatment-planning.

VELscope Oral Cancer screening (click to open)

At your new patient exam & when indicated at following check-ups, your dentist will screen all oral soft tissues for signs of cancer using the VELscope system. The VELscope is the first adjunctive device cleared by the FDA and Health Canada to help clinicians detect cancerous and pre-cancerous lesions and other lesions that might not be apparent to the naked eye. The screening is a safe & comfortable procedure that takes mere minutes and simply involves shining a special fluorescent light to help illuminate potentially suspicious lesions.

Laser Dentistry (click to open)

Our soft-tissue Microlaser allows for numerous basic gum surgeries/procedures to performed in-office efficiently & comfortably.
Whitening (take-home and in-office): We offer both in-office and take-home bleaching options for our patients to safely and effectively whiten your smile. Talk with our staff and see what system would work best for you.

Emergency Treatment (click to open)

Emergency treatment: We are always happy to accommodate patients, new and existing, for emerg treatment and to get you out of pain. Our extended clinic hours help accommodate everyone’s busy schedule while our emergency contact number is available anytime after-hours.

Composite (white) Fillings (click to open)

Durable, beautiful white resin fillings to repair and restore teeth damaged due to decay, fracture or wear. Unlike traditional silver (amalgam) fillings, composite actually bonds to teeth, helping to splint and protect the remaining tooth structure.

Cosmetic Bonding (click to open)

The least costly, minimally invasive way to give you a beautiful smile. Improve on tooth color, shape, and alignment with carefully placed direct composite build-ups on the front teeth.

Porcelain Veneers (click to open)

The most durable and beautiful cosmetic solution for improving your smile. Custom porcelain laminates are created and bonded to each front tooth to create dramatic aesthetic improvements.

Crowns (click to open)

Sometimes teeth with extensive restorations, decay or fractures can be structurally weak and prone to further wear/fracture. A crown or “cap” is a bonded custom restoration that covers all surfaces of a tooth, effectively splinting and protecting the remaining tooth structure. Crowns are available in a variety of materials including gold, porcelain, or a combination.

Bridges (click to open)

Bridges are an elegant way to fill in any spaces where teeth are missing while simultaneously protecting the adjacent teeth, if heavily restored/worn. The teeth on either side of the space are carefully prepared and a one-piece custom “bridge” that spans the gap is bonded in place to replace the missing teeth. Like crowns, bridges are available in a variety of materials, including gold, porcelain, or a combination.

Inlays / Onlays (click to open)

These are a conservative yet durable solution in cases where teeth are weakened from prior fillings/fracture/decay, but much healthy tooth structure still remains. An onlay is essentially a partial crown that serves to protect the biting surface of a tooth while allowing minimal preparation and conservation of remaining tooth structure.

Partial Dentures (click to open)

A great solution in cases of multiple missing teeth. An easy, non-invasive option to replace teeth and your beautiful smile while simultaneously splinting and protecting slightly mobile teeth. Partial dentures are snug-fitting removable custom appliances made of a combination of cast metal and acrylic. The least costly restorative option.

Root Canals (click to open)

In cases of more extensive fracture, decay, or trauma, the nerve of a tooth may be irreversibly damaged or abscessed/infected. In these cases a “root canal” is needed to cleanse, disinfect, and seal the pulp canal before a conventional filling can be placed. Root canals tend to have a scary reputation among the general public but are in fact not much different than a more intricate filling appointment. In cases of a severe abscess, your dentist may opt to prescribe antibiotics ahead of time to relieve pain, settle the infection, and make for an easier appointment. Note: teeth often require a crown following root canal treatment to restore structural integrity. Your dentist will advise you if this is the case.

TMJ Assessments (click to open)

The temperomandibular or jaw joint is one of the most complex in the body. A careful assessment of TMJ function will be done to detect any signs of excessive wear or dysfunction. Protective mouthguards for nite-time grinding and sports are available to protect the teeth and TMJ and alleviate muscle fatigue from clenching.

Extractions (click to open)

Routine surgery and orthodontic/wisdom teeth extractions.

Splinting (click to open)

Often we can prolong the life of slightly mobile teeth with compromised bone levels via non-invasive splinting. Adjacent teeth are linked by an aesthetic composite buildup to better anchor the teeth and help withstand the forces of chewing.

Oral Sedation (click to open)

For our more anxious patients, short-acting sedatives can be administered to make your dental experience more pleasant, pain-free, and relaxing.
